From dental assistant to dentist
Dr. Farahnik has been in the dental field for 20 years, as a dental assistant and office manager before earning his DDS from USC in 2018. He worked chairside as a dental assistant and as the front-desk office manager of a large dental office. He learned how a practice runs long before he became a dentist. He also learned how patients feel in it.

What is Dr. Farahnik's approach to cosmetic dentistry?
At his Encino practice, Dr. Faraz Farahnik starts every plan with an exam and a conversation about your goals. He checks the health of your teeth, gums and bite before cosmetic treatment begins. Cosmetic dentistry in Encino
Smile design, in his own words
Conservative, function-first planning
A cosmetic result lasts only if it works. Your bite matters, and so do grinding, clenching and the health of your teeth and gums. Veneers may not be a good choice if you grind or have a deep overbite. Decay or gum disease needs treatment first. The ADA's MouthHealthy page on veneers makes the same point about clenching, grinding and a deep overbite.
Dr. Farahnik's planning starts there. He explains every option that fits, including simpler ones such as whitening, bonding or straightening.
An in-house team for implants and complex care
Dr. Farahnik places implants himself, including full-arch All-on-X treatment. Our in-house team also includes oral surgeons and a periodontist. A periodontist treats the gums and the bone that supports the teeth. That keeps implant, gum and surgical care under one roof.
